We Are Excited to Welcome You Back To Our Clinic

Roots to Branches Whole Health Clinic is open for IN-PERSON Naturopathic, Chiropractic and Massage Therapy appointments. Please read below to review our new clinic policies to work in accordance with public health and WorkSafeNB.

Naturopathic appointments are still available virtually, and have been going very well! Supplement pick ups are still available, but appointment times are required. Please book your naturopathic appointment and/or arrange your supplement pick up by phoning and leaving a message at 216-3000 or booking online.

Our in-office systems will be a bit different, but you can still expect the same warm, high quality standard of care that you are used to!

Our New Clinic Policies:

You can expect a super clean and decluttered office space and clinic room as we increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting. Please complete your quick Covid screening questionnaire prior to your appointment. If this is not done online, you will be phoned to complete it prior to your appointment. Please bring and wear your own non-medical face covering during your appointment. Sanitize your hands immediately upon entering and before leaving the clinic. Stay in your car until it is your appointment time to help reduce reception area traffic. Please come to your appointment alone. If you have mobility issues or require parents/guardians, we are of course happy to make an exception and schedule you accordingly.

Please be patient as we adapt our new systems

We can’t wait to see you and look forward to continuing to help you create the vibrant health that you deserve

My Philosophy

If there’s one thing I knew I wanted to do in the future it was help people and that’s exactly what I intend to do for my patients. I strongly believe that we have control over a large component of our health and why not do so in a natural manner. I strive to empower my patients to take an active role in their health which is incorporated into my treatments by discussing lifestyle changes, stretches and advice to maintain their progress. My treatments may include a variety of techniques including manipulations and mobilizations of the spine and extremities, soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, exercise and education to optimize my patients full potential. I am also certified in Instrument Assisted Soft tissue therapy and Webster.

Throughout my education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, I had the opportunity to work with the special needs population, moms-to- be and underserved communities in Dominican Republic. During my intensive training at school, I developed a passion in pregnancy care, postnatal care and children.

All individuals of all ages are welcomed into the practice and I look forward to discussing chiropractic with everyone!

Jessica McTague, BBA, BA (HONS), MA Experimental Psychology, M.Ed. Counselling Psychology

My journey to becoming a therapist was not linear and I took a few different paths in my education before I got here. One thing that was consistent throughout my education was that I love learning, so much so that I have spent ten years finding my passion across multiple disciplines. I began my education by completing a business degree but I knew by the end that business was not for me. I eventually found myself in a Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology program where I learned the value of evidence-based practices and research. However, I still felt like I needed more in the form of human interaction, which led me to counselling. I completed a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of New Brunswick and I have not looked back since. Through my training and my own experience, I have seen firsthand what a skilled therapist can do for people who are struggling and this is what motivates me to help others. Another thing that motivates me is watching my clients grow, and work towards living a valued, more balanced life. I give my clients the tools to work towards feeling better in a non-judgmental, confidential space allowing them to maximize their own well-being.

I have training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Emotion-Focused therapy. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a trauma-based therapy allowing me to work with clients who may have experienced trauma. My approach to treatment is tailored specifically to each individual client and I work together with my clients to determine which methods will be most beneficial for my client’s wellbeing.

Making people happier and healthier isn’t just my career – it’s my passion.

Before I became a Naturopathic Doctor, I was a Registered Nurse in internal medicine and oncology. I had my own health challenges, including a gastrointestinal condition for which I took as many as 16 pills a day. After naturopathic medicine helped me heal, I was hooked. I wanted to help others as I had been helped. I moved to Toronto for four years of medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.

I have been practicing as a licensed Naturopathic Doctor since 2012, with a special interest in women’s health and infertility. I am a member of the New Brunswick Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.

I believe in combining modern research and evidence-based medicine while getting back to the basics and using the gifts nature has given us. Most of all, I believe being healthy is about having fun, being inspired and feeling joy. Balance is key – I love nachos as much as anyone.

After all, life is short. And it can change quickly, as I learned during my pregnancy when an ultrasound revealed our baby had a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. I’ve always been a positive person, but this experience confirmed what is really important and what I want to help my clients achieve. The ability to make the most of each day. To laugh. To feel good in your body. To have joy and fun. We are all resilient with the right support.
